The Government will Spend Rs 392 crore 33 Lakh to Provide Water to the Needy People

To provide relief to the people in the summer, the Rajasthan government has decided to provide tap water to 1 lakh 23 thousand houses in 193 villages in 19 districts of the state. The center and the state will have half of it.  In this context, the state government's share is 75 thousand crores which is not possible to be borne due to the heterogeneous geographical and economic conditions of the state.

About one Lakh 50 Thousand Crore Rupees is Needed to Deliver Water

The central government used to give a 90 percent grant in 2013, but it was discontinued for the last 8 years.  But the Union Minister of Water Power did not respond at this time. To provide relief to the people in the summer, the Rajasthan government has decided to provide tap water to 1 lakh 23 thousand houses in 193 villages in 19 districts of the state.  Officers have been instructed to make water connections in these houses.  The government will spend Rs 392 crore 33 lakh to provide water to the needy under the Water Life Mission.

State Water Supply Minister Dr. BD Kalla informed that under this, water connections will be made under 150 single village and 43 multi village schemes.  He said that under the Jal Jeevan Yojana Mission, about one lakh 50 thousand crore rupees is needed to provide water to every household in the state by the year 2024.
