A decision to this effect was taken in the marathon meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's own subsidiary organizations, representatives of the government and BJP leaders. In this meeting held in Chhatarpur, there was also a long discussion on the future new population policy, the situation after the abolition of Article 370 and the decision of the Supreme Court in the context of the Ayodhya dispute. The meeting, which ended on Thursday, was also attended by Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Working President JP Nadda and Organization General Secretary BL Santosh.

According to a representative of the subsidiary organization of the association present at the meeting, NRC was discussed in a special session. During this, a senior leader of the Sangh termed it as very important for national security and said that the process of implementing NRC in all the states of the country should be started soon to identify the citizens and identify the intruders.

After long deliberations, after the census to be held in 2021, it was agreed to implement NRC in a phased manner in the states. It was decided to first select the states where the problem of infiltration has taken a serious form. It was also decided that an atmosphere should be created in support of NRC. People should be told that this process is necessary for the security of the country and it has nothing to do with any particular religion.
