IT Raid on Former Karnataka Chief Minister G Parameshwar’s House

Shivani Alakh

The Income Tax Department raided the house of former Chief Minister of Karnataka and Leader of Opposition, Siddaramaiah and his medical college on Thursday. Siddaramaiah described it as politically motivated.

The medical college and hospital of former Union Minister RL Jalappa were also raided.  Parameshwar said, 'If the raids are carried out at educational institutions, then I have no objection. Let them see all the documents. '

Siddaramaiah tweeted, 'This raid is inspired by politics. They are only targeting the Congress leaders of Karnataka. Because they have failed to face us in matters of policies and corruption. '

The series of IT raids on @DrParameshwara, RL Jalappa & others, are politically motivated with malafide intention. They are only targeting @INCKarnataka leaders as they have failed to face us on policy & corruption issues. We won't budge to any such tactics !!
