The Modi government has finalized the deal to buy 36 more Rafale aircraft from France. According to the report of the Indian Defense Research Wing published on Saturday, orders for new aircraft will be placed early next year. France had recently handed over the aircraft to India before the deal of 36 Rafale aircraft in the past.

It will be officially handed over to India on October 8 during Defense Minister Rajnath Singh's visit to France. After this deal, the number of Rafale aircraft in the Indian Air Force fleet will be 72. The Indian government is already purchasing 36 Rafale fighter jets from the Dassau Aviation Company of France. The arrival of the Rafale aircraft will greatly increase the strength of the Air Force. Especially in view of the Balakot air strike, when Indian fighter jets had to go deep inside Pakistan.

 Considering India's huge defense market, the US is pressurizing its country company Lockheed Martin to buy fighter aircraft. But after Balakot, his image has suffered a major blow after wing commander Abhinandan Vardhaman shot down Pakistan's F-16 aircraft. Recently, the Indian Air Force is also not showing interest in purchasing the upgraded F-21 aircraft. However, the Air Force is considering purchasing F-18 aircraft from the American company Boeing.
