IPL 2022: New Jersey for Gujarat Titans Launched

The official jersey for the newly made team Gujarat Titans was launched on Sunday. The jersey was launched in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. The event showcased the rich and diverse culture of the state. It was launched in the benign presence of Gujarat Titans Chief Operating Officer, Colonel Arvinder Singh, Head Coach Ashish Nehra, Director of Cricket Vikram Solanki along with BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah and Gujarat Titans Captain, Hardik Pandya. Hardik Pandya was bought by the team for a whopping 15 crore rupees. A few of the squad members like Varun Aaron, Wriddhiman Saha, Vijay Shankar, Abhinav, among others were present at the event.

The team is constantly in the headlines since the time the logo of the squad was launched. Gujarat Titans is the first team that is on the way to setting the benchmark for its community by dedicating a virtual space for its global community of fans and players. Even the official jersey of the team was launched in Augmented Reality. AR is a remarkable step in enhancing fan engagement and community building.

10 teams to contest in the 15th Edition

10 teams will be seen playing the match instead of 8 teams for the very first time. In the 15th edition of the T20 league, the newly formed teams are Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. The official jersey of Lucknow Super Giants is yet to be revealed. KL Rahul is appointed as the captain for the new team, Lucknow Super Giants.

Which teams are contesting this year?

There is an addition to this form of cricket, i.e. two teams will make their debut this season. The ten teams contesting this year are Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Gujarat Titans, and Lucknow Super Giants. Out of these ten, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants will make a debut this year.
