Delhi’s Air Quality is Very Poor for the Fifth consecutive Day

The air quality in Delhi is in the very poor category for the fifth consecutive day. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi stands at 362 today. On Wednesday, the AQI was 372, that is, there has been an improvement of 17 points, but the situation is still critical. According to the Meteorological Department, strong wind is expected on Sunday after which the air quality is expected to improve.

100% work from home has been implemented in government departments

Environment Minister of Delhi Government Gopal Rai announced measures on Wednesday to reduce Delhi's pollution. He said that 100% work from home has been implemented in government departments till November 21. Construction and demolition work has also been stopped till November 21, while schools and other educational institutions will remain closed till further orders. Along with this, the Delhi government will hire 1000 CNG-operated buses so that there is no hindrance in the traffic.

Chief Justice NV Ramana said that if the government wants to talk to the farmers about stubble burning, then of course do it, but we do not want to impose any fine on the farmers. It is very easy to comment on farmers sitting in 5-7 star hotels in Delhi, but no one wants to understand why farmers have to burn stubble. He said that more pollution than any other source spreads through debates on TV channels. Everyone out there has some agenda. We are trying to find a solution here.

Preparation of odd-even formula in 4 districts of Haryana

After the order of the Supreme Court to maintain the air quality, the Haryana government has taken some tough decisions on Wednesday. An Odd-even system can be implemented at any time in 4 districts of Haryana. Apart from this, it has been decided to take strictness in the 14 districts included in NCR, that is, to keep schools and educational institutions closed till November 21, apart from work from home. CM Manohar Lal, who arrived in Gurugram, said that a committee has been formed involving the Gurugram Commissioner, DC. Some engineers regarding pollution, which will give their suggestions on this issue.
