When Pankaj Tripathi gave Auditioned for 9 Hours in High Fever

Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi is one of those actors who has no film background. Pankaj is very down to earth and he has walked one step to the point where he stands today. Pankaj has obviously worked hard in his career and shared an old anecdote of his struggle in a recent interview with a newspaper.

Recently 8 years of the film 'Gangs of Wasseypur' has been completed. Pankaj played the character of Sultan in this film. In an interview, Pankaj Tripathi told that the audition of Sultan's character for the film lasted for about 8 to 9 hours and he had done 10 to 12 scenes in it. All the scenes he performed were included in the film.

Pankaj told that he was ill while giving auditions for this film and he had given audition for this film after eating Paracetamol. His audition started at 12 noon and Pankaj used to give these auditions till 8-9 pm. He told that in the end he gave audition with green lens and he was selected after that.

Did not Prepared Anything

Pankaj Tripathi also told that he had not made any special preparations for this role. Pankaj caught the flight and went straight to the location. He believed that he did not do this in overconfidence, rather, he has given almost 22 years to theater and acting, after which he does not take much time to catch the pulse of the character.
