Mumbai: Sushmita Sen is stepping into acting once again. The actress last appeared in Shreejit Mukherjee's Bengali film 'Nirbaak' in 2015, now she is making a comeback after a full 5 years with a web series called 'Aarya', which will soon be screened on Disney Plus Hotstar. The trailer of the series came out on Friday. In the series, Sushmita will be seen playing the role of a Mamatamayi mother and a wife. It is based on the Dutch drama series 'Penoja'.

The trailer looks like it is a powerful story of a courageous woman. Sushmita's husband role is played by actor Chandrachur Singh in this series. The web series is directed by Ram Madhwani, who is known for directing 'Neerja'. The series also stars Namit Das and Sikander Kher in pivotal roles.

Sushmita started shooting for the month of December last year. Its story is set in the backdrop of Rajasthan with Sushmita in the lead role. Its shooting was over before the lockdown.
