Sushmita Sen’s Mother designed her Miss India Dress Due to lack of Money

Sushmita Sen won the title of Miss Universe on this day i.e. on 21 May 1994. Wearing the crown of Miss Universe was not so easy for Sushmita of a middle class family.

Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen is very famous for her beauty. From her voice to her big screen acting makes everyone crazy. Even today, her fan following is in crores. Do you know when Sushmita Sen was taking part in the competition to win the title of Miss Universe and was on stage, she impressed everyone with her responses. On that forum, the actress said on the answer to a question that how love for Indians is the biggest capital to live. Because people of all religions live here. Everyone likes to live with brotherhood among themselves and that is the basic mantra of their life.

On winning the Miss Universe title, she told that, 'When I went for Miss India, we did not have enough money to go to the stage wearing designer clothes. I wanted 4 costumes. We were middle class people. My mother said that people are coming to see clothes a little. If they are coming to see you, then we went to Sarojini Nagar market to buy clothes. Then after that there was a man with a petticoat chest in the garage below us, gave him a hand and said that this dress is going to come on TV to make good. So they prepared my Winning gown of that cloth. '

The actress further says, 'My mother made a flower by turning the remaining cloth for my gown, as well as my mother bought a brand new socks and after cutting them and putting elastic on the black socks, I wore gloves. The day I won the title of Miss India by wearing that dress, it was a big day.
