Sushant Agreed to ‘Dil Bechara’ without Reading Script

Anshika Agarwal

Sushant Singh has said goodbye to this world. His last movie 'Dil Bechara' is set to be released on the OTT platform. If it is said that for Mukesh Chhabra and Sushant, it is not just a film, but a proof of friendship, then it would not be wrong. 7 years ago, as the casting director for the film 'Kai Po Che', Mukesh Chhabra recognized Sushant's ability after an audition of 800 people, while Sushant played the role of friendship in his friend's first film.

Director Mukesh Chhabra said, 'Sushant felt that my heart was thinking to direct my own film someday. The day I decided to make a film, Sushant promised me that he will work in my film."

Mukesh said for Sushant, "When I was sure that I was going to make my first film, I needed someone who understood me, as a friend, other than a great actor, who is close to me, someone who stands with me, someone who doesn't mind anything during this whole journey. I remember that Sushant promised me long ago that whenever I make my first film, he will be in it. Will play the lead role and he kept his promise. So when I approached him for 'Dil Bechara', he immediately said yes, without reading the script. We always had this strong emotional connection."

He added that, "He always helped me improve the scenes. He used to read with me and he always told me if at any time he felt that the scene could be improved creatively. We Used to sit together and discuss."
