Shooting of TV Serials will Not Start in Late June, IMPPA Dismisses Rumours by Releasing Statement

Recently there was news that shooting of TV and films would start from the end of June, but the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has rejected this. They said that this is just a rumour. All things are baseless. Significantly, lockdown implemented due to Corona virus, all kinds of shoots and releases of films have been stopped.

A press release has been issued by IMPPA, which says, 'we have received information from several members form press, electronic and social media as well as Federation of Western India Cine Employees  that they have come to know about the talk of resuming shooting through WhatsApp messages. In this message, FWICE has been mentored and it has been written that the shooting of TV serials is starting from June. A guideline has also been issued that only 50 percent people will work on the set. If anything happens to an employee, then the producer will be given a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to their family'.

IMPPA and FWICE denied that any such information had not been given on their behalf. They wrote, 'So far no decision has been taken regarding the shooting. FWICE has also confirmed that no guidelines or decisions will be taken without the consent of the Producers Association'.

Significantly, due to the shooting stops, old serials are being telecasted once again on TV. These include many shows including Ramayana, Mahabharata, Balika Vadhu, Office Office
