Mumbai: Alia Bhatt is going to be seen in the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. Shooting of the film was stopped in lockdown caused by the Corona virus pandemic. The makers had put up a huge set for the film in Film City, Goregaon and the shooting started even before the central government announced a complete lockdown. But due to lockdown shooting had to be stopped.
Now, the Maharashtra government has given permission for shooting, then it is reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is going to start the shooting for Alia Bhatt's film again. Shooting is expected to resume by the third week of June, according to a news source quoted in Pinkvilla. The report states that at first the filmmakers had decided to destroy the set but later did not do so. However, the set has been standing for a long time so it needs to be repaired before starting the shoot. Makers are obtaining the necessary permission to start shooting. Hopefully, if all goes well, shooting may start from the third week of June.
The sets of Bhansali film are very grand and the crew members are also more. However, Bhansali is considering starting shooting with 33% crew members.
