Ranveer Singh Shared Episode 1 of Vartalap Pathshala, Wants to Promote Sign Language

Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh is campaigning to declare Indian Sign Language (ISL) as the official language of our country. The actor is signing a petition that aims to raise awareness about the campaign. In this, he is also urging the support of Indian citizens.

Ranveer has also released a sign language video of rapper-poet Spitfire's 'Vartalap' as part of this effort.

Ranveer said that he would soon sign an official petition filed by the National Association of Deaf (NAD) India. It also has the support of the Access Mantra Foundation. "Through our efforts, we are supporting Indian sign language to become the 23rd official language of India," he said.

The actor appealed, "I urge my fellow Indians to join it and take it forward by creating awareness about it. We also release our first sign language video on Spitfire's latest track 'Vartalap' with the hope of that the track will trigger more conversations on the matter."

Ranveer Singh will now next be seen in Kabir Khan's '83', a sports drama which narrates the story of India's 1983 Cricket World Cup victory. In the film, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of team captain Kapil Dev. The film has been postponed due to a lockdown because of corona virus.
