Rajasthan High Court Refused to Ban ‘Mardaani 2’

The petition was filed by Kota resident Taslim Ahmed Khan. It demanded a ban on the release of the film. The petition states that an attempt is being made to discredit Kota through the film. In the trailer of the film, a serial killer in Kota is shown executing the rape incident. At the beginning of the trailer, the film is told to be inspired by the true story. The people of Kota have objected to this. People opposing the film say that Kota's image is being tarnished in Mardaani 2. No such incident of rape has been reported in Kota, which is depicted in the film. They also says that when the film was being shot in Kota, they were very happy. They had welcomed the film unit. Lok Sabha Speaker and Kota MP Om Birla also objected to the film.

With the release of the trailer of actress Rani Mukherjee's film Mardaani 2, protests have started in Kota, Rajasthan. The people of Kota have alleged that the producers are tarnishing the image of Kota through the film. Local people met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday to demand the removal of objectionable scenes related to Kota in the film. Birla is an MP from Kota. Those protesting include local leaders of both Congress and BJP parties as well as common people.
