No such incident of rape has been reported in Kota, which is depicted in the film. They also says that when the film was being shot in Kota, they were very happy. They had welcomed the film unit. Lok Sabha Speaker and Kota MP Om Birla also objected to the film.

With the release of the trailer of actress Rani Mukherjee's film Mardaani 2, protests have started in Kota, Rajasthan.
