Actor Priyanka Chopra has shared an enthusiastic Post on Instagram, denoting the birth anniversary of her dad, Ashok Chopra. The image demonstrates her dad grinning while a tune plays out of sight. Priyanka's dad died six years ago in 2013.

The actor has frequently discussed her affection for her father and how difficult it was for her to adapt to his misfortune. She even has a tattoo with the words  'Daddy's lil girl'  composed on her lower arm in her dad's handwriting.

In a 2016 meeting to, the on-screen character had said about her dad,  "His death has been a big blow. I still haven't dealt with it. I don't know if I've healed, but it doesn't hurt either. I don't think I have accepted it. I feel like I'm travelling all over the world, and dad will be home when I return. I think grief becomes your constant companion. You just learn to live with it."

Priyanka was most recently seen in Netflix's Isn't It Romantic. She will come back to Bollywood with Shonali Bose's The Sky is Pink which likewise stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. She will proceed with her Hollywood voyage with a film with Mindy Kaling on Indian weddings.
