But the film was engulfed in controversies over the character of Panipat regarding Maharaja Suraj Mal. However, despite the controversies, the film left no stone unturned to earn a strong box office. Looking at the initial figures of the film, it can be estimated that 'Panipat' would have earned Rs 1.50 crore on the previous day.
