Producer Ekta Kapoor is constantly making sure that she can contribute to help those affected by the lockdown to curb the spread of Covid-19. This time she is raising a large fanbase with the unique initiative 'Fan Ka Fan', which is often enjoyed by the TV industry. The initiative will encourage fans to contribute to the PM Cares Fund to help fight Covid-19. Ekta Kapoor posted a video on her social media urging fans to contribute and wrote, "We are all in lockdown, but through television, we are enjoying entertainment from our favorite stars and shows. This spectacular initiative has been launched in an effort to mobilize the large fanbase of Fankafan.com TV industry."

She further wrote, "This is an effort to help convey the love of 'Fan' towards their favourite stars. Fankafan encourages fans to donate via the official site fankafan.com towards the #PMCaresFund to help battle Covid-19."

Ekta Kapoor further wrote, "Go to the website, select your favourite star, and donate through Fankafan.com and you will get a special 'Thank You' video from the selected celebrity on the list. This is not the first time a producer has pledged her support to society during these challenging times. Earlier, Ekta marked her contribution during this period of lockdown by donating her one-year salary to assist her employees — freelancers and daily wage workers.

Ekta had also launched an initiative earlier, where the top TV producer-actor of the television fraternity united in her fight against Covid-19 during the recent pandemic crisis to create a very important video and spread positivity. The importance of staying home was emphasised in this video.
