Check Out the Thalaivi First Look Poster!!!

The producers of Thalaivi, the forthcoming biopic on the life and journey of late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa, have divulged the first look poster of the film. The film stars Kangana Ranaut, who looks unrecognizable as the political leader.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the poster on Twitter on Saturday evening. "First look poster… Kangana Ranaut in #Jayalalitha biopic… Titled #Thalaivi… Directed by Vijay… Produced by Vishnu Induri and Shaailesh R Singh… 26 June 2020 release,"  he wrote in his tweet. The poster shows Kangana with thick prosthetic makeup on her face, perfecting Jayalalithaa's 'triumph sign' and delicate grin, She is found in a green saree with a green coat on top. A smaller, inset picture shows Kangana as a younger Jayalalithaa when she used to be a film actor. The film is will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Maker Vishnu Vardhan Induri, who is additionally creating 83, says, "I am excited to show this story of an actor turn politician, which is based on one of India's most loved and followed public figures. Thalaivi is a very dear project to all of us as it is a story that needs to be told. And the way, Kangana has slipped into the character, is simply amazing. Can't wait to present this film to the audience."

Kangana started shooting for Thalaivi on November 10. Aside from learning Tamil, Kangana selected enrolled in Bharatnatyam classes for her role. She was additionally reported to have spent hours on prosthetic cosmetics sessions.

Thalaivi is being directed by A L Vijay. Aside from Kangana, just Arvind Swami's name has been affirmed in the cast. The film is planned to release in 2020.
