Blackbuck Poaching Case: Jodhpur HC Issues Notice to Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre

Jodhpur High court has issued a notice to the 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari on an appeal by state government challenging their acquittal in the case by a local court in the Blackbuck Poaching Case.

In October 1998, Salman Khan allegedly shot two blackbucks in 'Bhagoda Ki Dhani' in Kankani village near Jodhpur during the shooting of the 1999 blockbuster, 'Hum Sath Sath Hai'. Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari were acquitted in the case due to lack of evidence.

The four were present in the vehicle Salman allegedly used for hunting the endangered species protected under Schedule 1 of the Indian Wildlife Act. Salman, however, was charged alone under the 'Section 51' of the Wildlife Protection Act.
