Mumbai: Sharad Kelkar is more than happy that the audience has accepted him as an actor and has called it his greatest appreciation. Kelkar is a skilled dubbing artist, lending his deep voice to the role of Prabhas in the dubbed version of the 'Baahubali' series. He made his debut in 2004 with the Doordarshan show 'Aakrosh'.

He was later seen on shows like 'Saat Phere: Saloni ki Yatra', 'Barri Piya' and 'Kuch To Log Kahenge'.

Sharad made his Bollywood debut in 2012 with the film 1920: Evil Returns, where he was seen playing with an evil spirit. After this he worked in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Goliyan Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela'.

He was then seen in films like 'Mohenjo Daro', 'Bhoomi', 'Housefull 4' and 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior'.

Talking about his role played in 'Shades', Sharad told IANS, "It feels good. I played the role of a negative guy. I was a blue-eyed boy for every household for almost four years. To change that image I have worked in films to be the gray-shaded man, acceptance was a question mark whether people would accept me as a negative person? But they accepted me and I have also played some positive role. Well, people have accepted me and have praised me".
