The political game of Maharashtra changed overnight. In the state, the BJP and the NCP have formed a government shocking everyone. This is the biggest upset in Indian politics so far. Devendra Fadnavis is sworn in as Chief Minister. Ajit Pawar has become deputy CM. Both were administered oath by Governor Bhagat Singh on Saturday. At present, NCP and BJP have formed government in the state. At the same time, a wave of greetings has also started.

Meanwhile, there has also been a response from the Congress. Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi said that due to the delay in talks between Congress-NCP and Shiv Sena, fast-paced leaders seized the opportunity.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also extended his best wishes and said that congratulations to Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Shri Ajit Pawar for taking oath as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. I am confident that they will work jointly for the progress and prosperity of the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Devendra Fandavis and Ajit Pawar. He wrote in tweet congratulating Maharashtra CM Devendra Fandavis ji on swearing in as Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar ji as Deputy CM. I am confident that they will work diligently for the bright future of Maharashtra.

The election was held on October 21 for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. The results were announced on 24 October. At the same time, President's rule was imposed on November 12, because of no claim of any party or coalition to form government in the state. The Shiv Sena and the BJP contested this election together, but the political crisis had arisen since the Shiv Sena ended the 30-year-old alliance with the BJP to demand the chief minister's post.
