Enforcement Directorate Raids TMC MP Kanwar Deep Singh’s Company

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided seven locations in Delhi and Chandigarh. All these raids have been carried out in 14 companies linked to the alchemist group controlled by TMC Rajya Sabha MP Kanwar Deep Singh. During the raids, the Enforcement Directorate seized 3.2 million cash and US $ 10,000.

The ED has also raided KD Singh's official residence at Tughlaq Lane in Delhi, his Chandigarh residence, and the houses of two company directors. According to Enforcement Directorate officials, a raid has been conducted against the TMC MP for obtaining additional evidence in a case related to fraud and housing scam.

A case has been registered against TMC MP Kanwar Deep Singh under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The scam is about Rs 1,900 crore. The ED had earlier seized assets worth Rs 239 crore belonging to the company named Alchemist Infra Realty Limited, belonging to the MP.

According to the Enforcement Directorate, the TMC MP through his companies Alchemist Township India Limited and Al Chemist Ho Ladings Limited raised huge sums of money in the name of investment from thousands of customers and lured the customers saying that they would get high returns. During this time he was also lured by plots and flats.
