Ranveer Tanwar

Congress has released the second list of 32 candidates for Rajasthan assembly elections. In the list, Manvendra Singh, son of former veteran BJP leader Jaswant Singh, has been fielded against the Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje from Jhalrapatan. Manvendra Singh had recently joined the Congress except for BJP. This seat falls in Jhalawar district. On Saturday, Vasundhara has filed his nomination from this seat.

Congress released its first list of 152 candidates for the Rajasthan assembly elections two days ago on Thursday. Manvendra Singh's name was not mentioned in this list, many of which were being speculated. However, on the second list, it was clear that Manvendra Singh was brought against CM Vasundhara under a special strategy. Former Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh's son Manvendra Singh had recently quit BJP and joined the Congress. It was believed that Manendra could get a ticket from Marwar in the Congress Rajput Bahul area.

In the first list, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot from Sardarpura and Pradesh Congress President Sachin Pilot has been nominated from Tonk assembly.
