REET: President of Rajasthan Unemployed Federation Arrested

Unemployed people across the state were about to put up a huge halt in Jaipur today against the rigging in the REET and Police Sub Inspector recruitment exams in Rajasthan. Earlier, the police had placed the state president of Rajasthan Unemployed Unified Federation, Upen Yadav under house arrest. A large number of police personnel were stationed outside Upen's house. Upen Yadav, who is leading the unemployed, has been arrested.

Upen Yadav, state president of Rajasthan Unemployed Unified Federation, said that after the sub-inspector examination, now the paper leak case has come to the fore in REET as well. The government has started a cover-up in this whole matter. Many people in this whole episode are still out of the grip of the police. In such a situation, the government does not get this entire episode investigated by the Special Operation Group. Our movement will continue. Upen said that even if the government arrests me, the movement of the unemployed will continue. After coming out of jail, I will again fight for the rights of the unemployed.

Till now action has been taken against 20

The government has started acting in the REET paper leak case. The government has so far suspended 20 officers-employees including 1 RAS, 2 RPS, and the District Education Officer (DEO) of Sawai Madhopur. It also includes 3 constables. Those who are found guilty in the investigation will be sacked. At the same time, departmental inquiry started against RAS and RPS. Their role in REET was found to be under suspicion. In such a situation, this is the first such case in the state, when action has been taken against RAS and RPS in case of copying or paper leak.
