IIT Gandhinagar Students are Upcoming “Shayar’s” in Town

Students at IIT Gandhinagar are now learning to befriend shayari and words as well. This is because many languages are being taught to students there.

73 children have chosen Urdu language as their subject. Indeed, graduate, post-graduate students have chosen several elective courses this year. 199 students have chosen Philosophy while 95 students have chosen French language.

Student Ankit Sharma told that we are studying Urdu poetry in Devanagari script. I like poetry. I feel that maths is like poetry. Shayari is also a research like Maths. I believe that to put your idea in front of you, it is very important to have knowledge of the language. IIT Gandhinagar started Urdu poetry subject in 2011. Students have to take 40 lectures for this. Rohit says, 'Urdu script is a bit tricky but I like its alfaz.'

Helps to overcome fear

Students believe that language helped them to overcome their fears and improve their talent. Nikita Sharma said, 'My language improved because of Urdu. We are involved in technical studies.

With this subject, I can enhance my creativity further. Urdu lecturer Mubashsir Ahsan says, 'This language is sweet. It has such a quality that it draws everyone to its side. Many children remain in the lab all day. In my class, the children get along with each other. '
