Feroz Khan Controversy in Banaras Hindu University is not Over Yet!

Dr. Feroz Khan, who was appointed as the Sanskrit Professor at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), also applied for the second faculty of the university. He has not only been selected in the interview for this post, but has come on top in the merit list. BHU, students were protesting against the appointment of Muslim Professor. Students say that to learn the ritual of Hinduism from a Muslim professor is to hurt Mahamana's intention. However, the BHU administration had made it clear that Dr. Feroz would teach Sanskrit literature, not rituals.

Dr. Feroz applied in the Sanskrit Department of the Ayurveda Faculty of the University. On the basis of merit, Dr. Feroz has also topped here. He topped the merit list with a score of 86.75. He has been selected for interview. He will be interviewed for this post on 29th November. Please tell that Dr. Feroz had applied for not one but many departments and universities. Feroz Khan also applied for BHU's Ayurveda department.

A student faction of BHU has been agitating for the appointment of Dr. Feroz Khan for a long time. The agitating students have asked the Vice Chancellor these questions – Which short listing process of UGC has the university adopted in this recruitment process? According to the university constitution, the appointment process has been completed? Has this appointment been made by keeping the 1904, 1096, 1915, 1955, 1966 and 1969 Acts of the BHU Act at the center? In the literature department of Sanskrit Science Religion Faculty, has the short listing been done as per all other departments of the faculty? Has the short listing been done keeping in mind the rules of Sanatan Dharma of the faculty? The BHU administration has promised to give written answers to these questions asked by the agitating students within 10 days.
