On 8 November Prime Minister Narendra Modi Will Launch Kartarpur Corridor

Prime Minister Modi will Inaugurate the much awaited Kartarpur Corridor on 8 November. This information was given by Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur by tweeting. In the beginning, of the corridor was being Ignored by Pakistan and on Thursday it was said that the date has not been fixed yet. However, Pakistan had said that this corridor would be opened for devotees before the 550th Prakash Parv (12 November) of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Pakistan has said that Sikh devotees will be able to visit Kartarpur Sahib from 9 November. This corridor will connect Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur to Dera Baba Nanak of Gurdaspur. Indian pilgrims will be able to visit Kartarpur Sahib with only one permit. It was founded in 1522 by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

PM Modi was invited by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Apart from PM Modi, President Kovind can also reach on the occasion of Prakash Parv. Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had also claimed that he would also invite former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the inauguration ceremony of the corridor. However, Captain Amarinder Singh rejected the possibility of Manmohan Singh accepting the invitation.

The Captain had met President Kovind and PM Modi and invited him for the program to be held at Sultanpur Lodhi. Both accepted this invitation.
