Smartphones of Rs. 750 Crore sold on the First Day of Amazon Festive Sale

Sale season is on the E-commerce website. Amazon India claimed that this time the biggest opening of the sale has taken place. The company has also claimed that smartphones worth Rs 750 crore have been sold in just 36 hours.

Amazon India said that the 750 million rupees of smartphones sold are of premium segment. Not only Amazon, but Flipkart has also said that the start of the Big Billion Days Sale has been much better this time than last time. However, these two companies have not told how much revenue was made on the first day of the sale.

According to a report by the News agency PTI Amit Agarwal, Senior Vice President and India Head of Amazon Global said, this time the most people have signed up for Amazon Prime in a day and the customer and retailer participation has also been fantastic. This has been the biggest opening for Amazon.in ever.

According to Amazon, 91% of new customers are from Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. Fashion and smartphones categories have been in the top for these customers. That is, most people are shopping for the products of both these categories.

 Interestingly, the company is claiming that most people are coming from the Hindi platform of Amazon. Let us tell you that this year, Amazon has introduced Hindi user interface for its e-commerce business.

In the opening day of Amazon's festive sale, smartphones from OnePlus, Samsung and Apple have sold more and in 36 hours, the company has done business of Rs 750 crores from premium segment smartphones. Apart from this, record sales have been recorded in big appliances and TV and they have increased 10 times compared to average days.
