Fossil New Smartwatch Series Launched in India, something’s Special for iPhone Users

Fossil has launched its Gen 5 smartwatch lineup in the Indian market. As a reminder, the global launch of the Wear OS series of Google smartwatches was done in August this year. The new smartwatch lineup has a heart rate monitor, accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter and an ambient light sensor. This series has been specially designed to provide a great experience to iPhone users. Along with this, a lot of changes have also been made on the basis of customer feedback.

The initial price of Fossil Gen 5 has been kept at Rs 22,995 in India. The new smartwatch series is available for sale on the Fossil India website, Fossil retail store and other retail partners. As we mentioned above, its global launch was done in August.

The Fossil Gen 5 has a 1.3-inch circular AMOLED display inside the 44mm dial. It has Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It runs on Google's Wear OS. The Gen 5 has a crown and two push buttons. They can be customized to launch an app.

The new smartwatch lineup offers four battery modes, including Daily, Custom, Time-only and Extended. In this, the company has claimed a battery of 36 hours. Also, it will get a standby time of one week in clock mode. The Fossil Gen 5 smartwatch lineup will feature several auto-installed apps, music streaming services, Peace of Mind and Safety apps, Nunlite and Nike Run Club. The most important thing is that it has been given swimproof speakers, so that it will be possible to make and receive calls.
