The Indian Army, which helps civilians in times of natural disasters, is often praised, but on Saturday, two military doctors in the moving train did something that is being appreciated all around. These army doctors delivered a pregnant lady at Howrah Express.
According to the information received, the woman traveling in Howrah Express suddenly started having premature labor. As the train was running slow amid fog, the nearest station was also so far away that it could not wait to reach there. If nothing was done immediately, the life of both mother and child could be threatened.
Delivery on moving rail
This information was received by Captain Lalita and Captain Amandeep, two doctors of the Army's 172nd Military Hospital traveling in the same coach. They hurriedly prepared for delivery and delivered the woman in the train compartment. The delivery was successful, in addition to the Director General of the Army tweeted from the Army's Twitter handle, 'Both mother and child are healthy.'
Tweeted newborn's photo
Along with this message, photographs of both female doctors of the army and the newborn have also been tweeted. It is said that the child's mother also thanked the army doctors.
