Beating Retreat Ceremony will be Held on January 29

Like every year under the Republic Day celebrations, the Beating Retreat Ceremony will be held at Vijay Chowk on 29 January this year, which will include many celebrities including the President and the Prime Minister. The security arrangements made for this will also affect the Yellow Line two stations of the metro. Metro services will be disrupted at both these stations after noon on Wednesday.

According to DMRC, the Yellow Line's Udyog Bhavan station will remain closed from 2 pm to 6:30 pm on Wednesday. During this time no train will stop at Udyog Bhawan station. At the same time, the Central Secretariat station will be completely closed from 4 pm to 6:30 pm, while between 2 pm and 4 pm people will be able to come out of Gate No. 1 of this station and all other gates will remain closed.

Although trains will stop at this station between 2 pm and 6:30 pm and people inside the station will be able to interchange between the Yellow and Violet Line, but no exit from the station or inside will be allowed inside the station. Metro services will be restored to normal at both stations after 6:30 pm. Metro services will continue at all other metro stations on Wednesday, just like normal days.
