Army Day Parade: Captain Tania Shergill the First Woman Officer to Become Parade Adjutant on Republic Day

Today is 72nd Army Day, the special thing is that Captain Tania Shergill led the army parade. Tania will also lead an army contingent in the Republic Day parade too. For the first time a female officer has led the Army Day Parade. The special thing about Captain Shergill is that she is the fourth generation of her family who is serving the country by staying in the army.

On Wednesday, for the first time on Army Day, a female officer, Captain Tania Shergill, lead all the troops. Shergill is a captain in the Army's Signal Corps. Tania, a BTech in electronics and communications, is the fourth generation of her family to join the army. His father served as artillery, grandfather armored and his great grandfather in the Sikh Regiment as infantry.

Captain Tanya became the first woman officer to lead the Army Day Parade. Tanya has inherited family service and military discipline in a way.

Bhavna Kasturi has also led the Republic Day Parade

Last year, Captain Bhavna Kasturi became the first woman officer to lead all men on Republic Day. Tania's achievement is more significant in the sense that she decided to join the army after studying engineering.
