A case of an attempt to rape a 5-year-old girl has come to light in Jaipur. The accused took away the innocent playing outside the house on the pretext of giving her a toffee. The accused neighbour took her to his house and tried to rape her.

The victim's father has lodged a report at the Jawahar Nagar police station. The police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and interrogated the accused neighbour by taking him into custody.

The investigation of the case has been handed over to the Additional DCP of the Research Cell.

Accused neighbour tried to rape her

According to the sources, on Monday i.e. Jan 10 afternoon, the girl was playing outside the house. During this, the intent of the neighbouring youth deteriorated.

The accused took the girl playing outside the house to his home by luring her with toffee. By taking her to his house, the accused neighbour tried to rape her.

When the girl started making noise, the accused neighbour left her. After going home, the victim narrated the whole incident to her mother.

When the father reached home at night, the victim's mother told him about the misdeeds of the neighbour with the girl.

Police sent the girl to hospital for a medical examination

Angry father went to the police station and filed a complaint against the accused.

After getting the information of the incident, the police reached around 9 pm and sent the girl to the hospital for a medical examination. Police have started an investigation into the case.
