7 Arrested in Noida Raid on Prostitution Business Operating from Rented House

Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddha Nagar Police and Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) busted a prostitution racket being run from a rented house in Noida's Salarpur village on Thursday i.e. Mar 02 night. Along with this, a woman has also been arrested.

The police claimed that the woman arrested was the leader of the racket. There are also 6 male associates of the arrested woman. The woman has been identified as Mala Devi.

Her six have been identified as accomplices Abhishek, Manpreet, Harish, Anil, Rajan and Sagar.

Two women from Delhi and Noida were also rescued from this prostitution racket and sent to One Stop Center in Noida.

Noida-1 ACP Rajneesh Verma said that we had received information that the street in the village where this house is located used to be deserted, but in the last few days many people started coming here every day.

We came to know about the prostitution racket and the activities were confirmed by a team which was sent as fake customers.

The ACP said that we came to know that the customers were called around 5 pm and they used to leave around 1 am every day.

The men were charged according to the time spent with the women.

Case has been registered against the seven accused

Noida Police Commissioner Harish Chander said that the police recovered Rs 2,100, 6 mobile phones and packets of used and unused condoms from the site.

A case has been registered against the seven accused at Sector 39 police station under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
