World Archery Field Championship Postponed till 2022 due to COVID-19

The proposed World Archery Field Championship was to be held in Yankton, USA has been postponed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The competition was scheduled to be held in September this year at the NFAA Archery Center in Yankton. It is the largest center of archery facility. The venue has hosted the World Youth and World Indoor Championships.

The World Archery (WA) and Yankton Organizing Committee took this decision in view of the restrictions imposed due to the safety of athletes. WA said in a statement issued here that it is decided against a one-year moratorium because of a busy calendar of 2021. The World Archery Championship is scheduled to be held in Yankton next year.

WA General Secretary Tom DeLeon said, "We regret that there will be a lot of delay in the field championship, but this decision has been taken in view of the current situation."
