A major impact on sports is being seen worldwide due to coronavirus outbreak. Like other sports, the coronavirus has now affected wrestling. That is why the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has decided that it will close the national camps of men and women teams. All sports tournaments have been postponed worldwide and in India due to Coronavirus. It also includes cricket. BCCI has also stopped all types of cricket in India.

A WFI official said that in view of the coronavirus in the country, we have decided that these two national camps will be closed by 31 March. For us, the health of our wrestlers, coaches, and officials is first. The women's team camp continues in Lucknow and the men's team in Sonepat. We will issue a notice for both camps on Monday and inform everyone.

The wrestlers, who have qualified for the Tokyo Olympics, are practicing in national camps. But now the closure of these camps by 31 March may also affect their preparedness. At the same time, the star wrestler Bajrang Punia, who has got quota for Tokyo Olympics, said that I do not have any information about the closure of the camp right now. I am currently practicing in the Sonepat camp.
