UP: Infected Person found in Corona Free Declared District Maharajganj

The second phase of the lockdown is about to complete, meanwhile, administration difficulties have increased with the arrival of corona positive patients in Maharajganj, which was declared corona free in Uttar Pradesh. A person returned from Delhi in Maharajganj district has been found infected with Covid-19.

District Magistrate Ujjwal Kumar said on Thursday, about six days ago a person came from Delhi to Ratanpurwa village in Paniara in Maharajganj district. The infection was confirmed by Gorakhpur Medical College on Wednesday in his Corona test report. He said that all the family members of the person and all the people in contacted with him were separated. The paths have been sealed and sanitization is being carried out.

Significantly, Maharajganj was one of the few districts in Uttar Pradesh where there was not a single active case of corona infection. According to the latest data released by the Health Department, the number of corona positive in Uttar Pradesh has increased to 2134. Out of this, 510 people have been cured and at the same time, 39 people have died.
