Tripura: 10 People including 8 returned from Bangladesh found Infected with Corona, Total 254 cases reported so far

Ten new cases of Covid-19 infected have been reported in Tripura, with eight people recently returned from Bangladesh. Giving this information, Chief Minister Biplav Kumar Deb said that the total number of infected cases in the state has increased to 254.

He said that eight people had returned via Akhaura Integrated Check Post (ICP) on Thursday, whereas the other infected people include a soldier of the 86th battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) and a man returned from Gurugram recently.

However, the infection has not been confirmed in any of the 166 passengers aboard the first flight from Kolkata on Friday after the lockdown was implemented. Deb said in a tweet on Friday that the government is taking all possible precautionary measures to protect everyone.

Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that 29,359 people were kept under surveillance in the state out of which 18,078 people have completed the 14 day monitoring period and have been discharged, of the remaining 11,281 people, 510 are in segregated habitats and the remaining are in segregated residences.
