Tokyo Olympics 2020: Organizers Decides to Cancel Gymnastic Test Tournament due to Coronavirus

The organizers of the Tokyo Olympics said on Wednesday that the gymnastic test tournament to be held on April 4 and 5 has been canceled due to coronavirus threat. The organizers said that the Japan Gymnastics Association has also canceled the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship.

Despite the Coronavirus epidemic, organizers of the Tokyo Olympics and the IOC have repeatedly said that the Olympics will be held as per schedule from July 24 but in a local survey, 70 percent of Japanese said they did not think the games would be on time.

The Olympic torch will arrive here on Friday by plane from Greece. The four-month-long torch relay will begin on 26 March. The organizers of the Tokyo Olympics have told the audience that you can see the torch from the streets due to the coronavirus and also try not to gather more crowds.
