Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country through video message at 9 am today (Friday). In his address, PM Modi said that the nationwide lockdown during the Corona global epidemic is taking 9 days today. During this time, the way you (citizens) all have shown both discipline and service is unprecedented. The administration and public have tried their best to handle this situation in a good way.

PM Modi said that it is definitely lockdown time, we are definitely in our homes, but none of us are alone. The collective strength of 130 crore citizens of the country is with every person, but we have to maintain social distancing. Lockdown and social distancing are the only panacea against Corona.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi (India)

The PM said that on this Sunday, April 5, we all have to challenge the darkness of the Corona crisis. We have to show it our strength. On this day, at 9 o'clock at night, turn off all the lights of the house for 9 minutes and light a candle, Diya, torch or mobile flashlight while standing outside the door or in the balcony, then we all will realize the superpower of light.

PM Modi said that we should make a resolution in our mind that we are not alone, nobody is alone. However, 'Lakshman Rekha' of social distancing should not be crossed during this time. Social distancing should not to be violated under any circumstances. This panacea is the cure for breaking the corona chain.

Earlier, PM Modi thanked everyone who fought against Corona on 22 March Sunday. He said that India has become an example for all countries today. Today many countries are repeating our actions.
