Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s party Leader Shaheen Raza Passes Away of Coronavirus

The case of the first death of a chosen representative in Pakistan due to the corona virus has been reported. Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaheen Raza has died. Shaheen Raza, 60, was a member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. She died on Wednesday at Mayo Hospital in Lahore.

According to the Express Tribune news, the symptoms of virus infection in Raza were found a few days ago. Initially, she was being treated by a team of private doctors and then she was later admitted to the district headquarters hospital. After not recovering there, she was taken to Mayo Hospital, where she passed away.

The death of MP Shaheen was confirmed by Sohail Ashraf, deputy commissioner of Gujranwala. Shaheen's health began to decline in the weekend and was put on ventilator when she had trouble breathing.

The administration of Mayo Hospital reported that the MP was brought into critical condition three days ago. She was admitted to the isolation ward and was already suffering from diabetes and blood pressure related disease, her body was handed over to her family on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has mourned the demise of a key leader of his party. President Arif Alvi has also wished her soul peace. Shaheen Raza was elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly in 2018. Let us tell you that more than 45 thousand people have been affected by corona infection so far in Pakistan.
