Indian Doctor on Frontline Dies due to Coronavirus in UAE

A 61-year-old Indian doctor died due to coronavirus in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He was treating COVID-19 patients in a hospital. The hospital gave this information on Sunday. Let us tell you that Doctors are playing the most important role in the whole world struggling with Coronavirus infection. Many health care workers have also lost their lives in the meantime, but in spite of this, they are busy in treating patients with full vigor.

Local media quoted a statement issued by the hospital on Saturday, "Dr Sudhir Rambhau Washimkar, a resident of Nagpur, Maharashtra died at Al-Ain Hospital." He was employed at Burjeel Royal Hospital in Al Ain under the VPS Healthcare Network. The hospital said, "Dr. Washimkar was treating COVID-19 patients at Burjeel Royal Hospital. He was found infected with COVID-19 on May 9. Two days later, on 11 May, he was transferred to Al-Ain Hospital."

The statement said that he was undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at Al-Ain Hospital and died on June 6 (Saturday). His last rites were performed on Sunday morning. So far 276 people have died due to coronavirus in the UAE.
