Hydroxychloroquine Trial to Start Again in Treatment of Coronavirus: WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) has decided to re-use the hydroxychloroquine medicine as a trial in the treatment of corona. On Wednesday, WHO chief Tedros Adnom Gabareyes said the hydroxychloroquine trial would be resumed. Let us tell you that earlier WHO stopped the trial of hydroxychloroquine as the organization claimed that it could harm health.

During a virtual news briefing, Tedros said, "Last week the Executive Group of Solidarity Trial decided to put a temporary moratorium on the trial of hydroxychloroquine, because, there were fears of health damage from the drug. After reviewing the safety data the decision was taken as a precaution.

Seeing the current death toll, the committee recommended that there is no need to change the trial, "All other trials including hydroxchloroquine will be continued," they said.
