How Dangerous is the New Variant of Corona? Know Everything here…

The new variant of Corona found in South Africa has stirred the world. Due to this variant, more than 200 per cent of cases have increased in South Africa in the last week. It is being said that this new variant is even more dangerous than the Delta.

Due to the threat of the variant, many countries have banned travellers from South Africa. The World Health Organization (WHO) has placed this variant in the category of 'Variants of Concern'.

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Saturday asked countries in the Southeast Asia region to increase vigilance and strengthen public healthcare and social measures in the wake of the new form of coronavirus infection being detected and increasing cases of infection in many places.

The WHO said that all precautionary measures should be taken in festivals and celebrations and visiting crowded places should be avoided. Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director of WHO for the South-East Asia Region, said that we should not lose our vigil at any cost.

Two citizens who came to India from South Africa were infected with the Delta variant

There was a stir at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru after two South African nationals were found infected with the coronavirus. However, their new variant Omicron has not yet been confirmed to be infected.

At the same time, there has been a decrease in new cases of corona infection in the country in the last 24 hours and active cases have also decreased.

Bangalore Rural Deputy Commissioner K. Srinivas said that the samples of both of them have been sent for further testing, the report of which will take 48 hours to come. Only then will it be known whether they are infected with the Omicron variant or not.

Till then they have been kept in the Quarantine Center. However, late-night news agency ANI quoted Srinivas as saying that both the people have been confirmed to be infected with the delta variant.

A few days after it surfaced in South Africa, the new Covid variant has reached many countries of Europe. These include Belgium, Botswana, Hong Kong, Britain, Israel, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, Netherlands.

Scientists around the world are engaged in decoding the new Kovid-19 variant 'Omicron'. Tests are being done in labs in Europe, America and Africa to understand how this variant affects the vaccinated people. The world's eyes are also on the outbreak in South Africa, which will show how contagious it is. Many countries have banned foreign travel.
