Goa: BJP MLA Found Corona Infected, Admitted to ESI hospital

A BJP MLA in Goa has been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus, whereas a senior state health official said on Wednesday that the MLA has been admitted to ESI Hospital in Madgaon, marked for treatment of COVID-19 patients. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, he was found infected during the investigation.

Till Tuesday, 1,315 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Goa 

Last month, a former state health minister was also found infected with the coronavirus and is undergoing treatment at ESI Hospital. According to official figures, till Tuesday, 1,315 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Goa and three people have also died due to the disease.

In the last two-three days, there have been 24 new cases of infected reported here

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that investigations have been intensified to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in his constituency Sankhalim. Till last week there was no case of infected in Sankhalim Assembly and the area was free from the effects of coronavirus, but in the last two-three days, there have been 24 new cases of infected reported here.

These 24 patients are also former MLAs of Sankhalim assembly constituency. Sawant said on Monday that the former MLA is undergoing treatment at ESI Hospital and this hospital is specially prescribed for coronavirus patients, his condition is stable. The Chief Minister said, "Investigation has been intensified in Sankhalim to prevent virus infection."

A total of 17 cases have been reported in Moti Dongor till Monday

Apart from this, several cases of infected have also been reported in the Margao Assembly. The region is headed by the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Digambar Kamat, at the same time, Moti Dongor, a slum in the same area, was declared a prohibited area by the South Goa administration. According to the health bulletin released here, a total of 17 cases have been reported in Moti Dongor till Monday, whereas Kamat told that the movement of people here has been banned and the investigation has been intensified.

State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has also reported several cases from Valpoi assembly constituency in North Goa. The firtst person died in Goa was from Morlem village of Valpoi. As of Tuesday, 1,315 cases of infected were reported in Goa and three people have also died.
