Delhi Reports 576 COVID-19 Cases, Positivity Rate Remain below 1 Percent

In Delhi, 576 fresh cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the city remained below 1 percent for the third consecutive day. In addition, 1287 patients have recovered, while 103 people died in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number tally has now increased to 14.27 lakh. Out of these, 13.93 lakh people have been cured and 24,402 have died. Currently, there are 9,364 patients, who are undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, the positivity rate has also dipped to 0.78 percent.

Meanwhile, US pharma giant Pfizer on Wednesday said that it will continue to remain engaged with the Government of India towards making its COVID-19 vaccine available for use in the immunization program in the country.

India: More than 1.30 lakh cases reported

India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 1,32,788 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 2,83,07,832.

The country also witnessed 2,31,456 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 2,61,79,085. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 92.48%. With 3,207 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 3,35,102. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.18%. There has been a steady decline in active cases of coronavirus in the country. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, the active cases in the country have been reduced by 1,01,875. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 17,93,645. The active cases rate in India stands at 6.34%.
