COVID-19 India: 22,431 new cases, 218 patients died in last 24 hours

On Thursday, 22,431 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the country. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health, cases are now being controlled in India. 318 people have died and 24,602 patients have recovered from Corona in the last 24 hours. There has been a decline in the number of active patients of COVID-19 in the country by 2,44,198 cases.

Rajasthan reported the least number of cases

Amid apprehensions of the third wave of Covid, the state's eight districts have not reported new infections for over 50 days. The districts are Bundi, Karauli, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Banswara, Dausa, Jaisalmer and Prapatgarh.Bundi district on Tuesday achieved the milestone of not reporting a single Covid case for 94 days. The last case reported in Bundi was on July 3.

At present, the state has 20 districts that do not have any active cases. In the last 24 hours, one person was found infected with Covid in the state, which was reported from Jaipur. No death was reported.

Here is the update from Kerala

On Wednesday, 12,616 new cases of covid infection were reported in Kerala. In which 134 more patients died due to the epidemic. With this, the total number of infected people in the state increased to 47,51,434. And the number of dead reached 25,811. In Kerala, 14,516 people have been cured of the infection in a day. So far 46,02,600 people have been cured after suffering from covid in the state and now 1,22,407 patients are active. On the last day, 98,782 samples were tested in the state.

Of the total cases in the country, Kerala has recorded 12,616 cases and 134 deaths. Kerala is the only state in the country where such a large number of cases of covid infection are still being reported. On the other hand, now the cases of covid in the country have increased to 3,38,94,312. At the same time, the number of active cases has also increased to 2,44,198.

523 new cases in Karnataka

With the arrival of 523 new cases of covid-19 in the neighboring state of Kerala, the total number of infected people increased to 29,79,331, while the death toll reached 37,37,854 due to the death of nine more patients due to the infection. According to the data released by the Indian Council of Medical Research, 14,31,819 sample tests were done for covid in the country yesterday, till yesterday a total of 57,86,57,484 sample tests have been done.
