COVID-19: 25 More Deaths Recorded in UP, Total 672 New Cases Reported

In the last 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh, 25 more people died of COVID-19 and at the same time, 672 new cases of infected were reported, while the state's Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Department Amit Mohan Prasad said on Tuesday that during the last 24 hours, 25 more COVID-19 infected people died in the state and with this, the death toll has risen to 697.

So far 16084 people have recovered

He said that 672 new cases of COVID-19 infected have been reported in this period and the number of patients under treatment at present are 6711. So far 16084 people have recovered and gone home and the percentage of patients recovered has now increased to 68.46%. Prasad said that at present, 6714 people are being treated in separate wards in the state and there are 4908 people in the segregation center, whose samples are being tested. He also said that 21414 samples were tested in the state on Tuesday and so far 7,27,793 samples have been tested in the state.

Total of 1,51,172 beds have been ensured in L1, L2, L3 hospitals of the state

Prasad said that fulfilling the target of preparing one and a half lakh beds by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, now a total of 1,51,172 beds have been ensured in L1, L2, L3 hospitals of the state. He said that many types of communicable diseases are spread during the rainy season, including dengue, malaria, chikungunya, encephalitis, JE and AES. It should be noted a month-long communicable disease campaign is being started from July 1 to prevent them.

Additional Chief Secretary informed that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will start it from Lucknow on Wednesday and on this occasion, programs will be organized to start the campaign in all 75 districts, which will include ministers, MPs and MLAs. He informed that during this campaign, many departments including city development, Panchayati Raj Department, Education Department, Divyang People Empowerment will also work. Apart from this, from 16 July to 31 July, Asha workers will conduct 'Dastak Abhiyan', in which they will go door-to-door to make people aware.
