In view of the ever-increasing cases of coronavirus in India, the Government of India has decided to impose a 21-day lockdown in the entire country. During this lockdown, people in all cities of the country have been appealed to stay indoors. This step of the government is very commendable for dealing with Corona, but everyday earners will face a lot of difficulties.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has decided to help people of unorganized areas during the lockdown to reduce the impact of the epidemic in this difficult time. Ganguly has come forward to support people affected by the 21-day 'lockdown' and will donate rice worth Rs 50 lakh to the underprivileged.

The Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) issued an official statement on Wednesday giving this information. He told that Ganguly along with Lal Baba Rice has taken the important decision to provide rice to the needy people. It was also told that rice is currently kept in government schools due to security.

Sourav Ganguly together with the company issued a statement giving information about this noble cause. "We hope that the initiative taken by Ganguly will inspire the rest of the country to take similar steps to serve the needy people of our state in this difficult time," the company's statement said.
