Coronavirus: SAI Decides to Postpone all Training Camps till May 3

The coronavirus epidemic has greatly impacted the whole world. This has also impacted the sports activities around the world. Many sports tournaments and events have been canceled and not only this many countries have decided to postpone training camps too. At the same time, all the training camps of Sports Authority of India (SAI) will be postponed till May 3. The decision was taken after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced to extend the nationwide lockdown till May 3 to prevent the covid-19 pandemic.

According to SAI sources, after the Prime Minister's address to the nation, "All SAI's camps were postponed until April 14 due to the lockdown. We were considering to decide further after April 14 but now that the lockdown has been extended, the camps will also be postponed till May 3." 

Players like Javelin throw star athlete Neeraj Chopra will be allowed to stay in SAI hostels. Chopra is at NIS Patiala after returning from Turkey last month.
